Jim Bankoff is the Chairman and CEO of Vox Media, running all aspects of the leading digital media company that reaches hundreds of millions young adults worldwide across its eight brands -- The Verge, Vox, SB Nation, Eater, Polygon, Racked, Curbed, and Recode -- and portfolio businesses. Vox Media builds smart brands people love in big categories they’re passionate about, through high-quality journalism, storytelling, and brand advertising. A veteran of the online industry, Jim developed and led dozens of the most popular websites on the internet including AOL, Mapquest, Moviefone, AOL Music, and Engadget as an EVP at AOL. He co-founded TMZ.com, won an Emmy award for his production of the Live8 Concerts, and oversaw AOL’s industry-leading applications including AIM, ICQ, and Netscape.
